Tropical Storm Taliah 2025
Last Modified:

Live tracking map, satellite images and forecasts of Tropical Storm Taliah 2025 in the southwest Indian Ocean. Current wind speed 75km/h. Max 155km/h.
Taliah is located 2167 km east-southeast of mathurin, Rodrigues Island, Mauritius of key west, and has tracked southwestward at 9 km/h (5 knots) over the past 6 hours. Maximum significant wave height is 5.5 meters (18 feet).
Taliah will continue to track southwestward under the steering subtropical ridge to the east.
After 3 days, a secondary subtropical ridge building in from the west will compete for steering, resulting in a slowed-down poleward storm motion.
The marginal environment will gradually become unfavorable as wind shear and dry air intrusion continue to increase and sea surface temperatures become colder resulting in a gradual weakening leading to dissipation in 4 days, possibly sooner.
Forecast models are in very good agreement with a gradual and even spread to a mere 191 km in 3 days, but spreads out more to over 556 km in 5 days.
Despite the tight grouping of the models up to 3 days, there is only medium confidence in the JTWC track forecast up to 3 days due to the possibility of early dissipation.
Same goes to the intensity forecast.
