Peipah is located 291 km east of Yokosuka, Japan, and has tracked east-northeastward at 56 km/h (30 knots) over the past 6 hours. Minimum central pressure at 05/12:00 UTC is 990 hPa. Maximum significant wave height is 7.3 meters (24 feet).

Peipah is forecast to track generally eastward over the next 24 hours with extratropical transition expected to complete within the next 12 hours.
