Tropical Storm Honde 2025
Last Modified:

Live tracking map, satellite images and forecasts of Tropical Storm Honde 2025 in the southwest Indian Ocean. Current wind speed 100km/h. Max 130km/h.
Honde is located 1663 km south-southwest of Saint-Denis, and has tracked southeastward at 26 km/h (14 knots) over the past 6 hours. Minimum central pressure at 05/18:00 UTC is 988 hPa. Maximum significant wave height is 9.1 meters (30 feet).
Infrared imagery shows an exposed circulation with deep convection displaced to the southeast by strong 65–75 km/h (35–40 knots) wind shear. The upper-level environment is convergent as the system has begun to embed within the subtropical jet over the last 12 hours. Sea surface temperatures are no longer supportive for the system as a tropical cyclone.
Honde will continue to round the southwestern extent of the subtropical ridge to the north for the next 24 hours. The system will weaken gradually to 75 km/h (40 knots) in 24 hours while becoming baroclinic and frontal. Extratropical transition will complete within the next 24 hours.
This is the final warning on this system by JTWC. The system will be closely monitored for signs of regeneration.
