South of the Gulf of Tehuantepec: An area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms several hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Environmental conditions appear conducive for some gradual development of this system during the next few days, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the weekend or early next week while it moves generally west-northwestward.
