Invest 98W

Live tracking map, satellite images and forecasts of Invest 98W in the Philippine Sea. Low chance of development. Current wind speed 35km/h.
Maximum sustained surface winds are around 35–45 km/h (18–23 knots). Minimum sea-level pressure is estimated to be near 1005 hPa.
Satellite imagery shows a slowly consolidating low-level circulation center (LLCC) with building convection throughout the circulation. However, a recent 30/00:28 UTC ASCAT-C pass portrays the suspected area to be a broad area of troughing.
Analysis shows a highly favorable environment for development with low level wind shear of 20–30 km/h (10–15 knots), good dual-channel upper-level outflow and warm sea surface temperatures of 30–31°C.
Deterministic and ensemble models show low likelihood of development over the next two days.
