Tropical Depression Nongfa 2025

Last Modified:

Tropical Depression Nongfa

Live tracking map, satellite images and forecasts of Tropical Depression Nongfa 2025 (台風14号) over Thailand. Current wind speed 45km/h. Max 75km/h.

Nongfa (Philippine name Jacinto) is located 369 km south-southwest of Hanoi, Vietnam, and has tracked westward at 39 km/h (21 knots) over the past 6 hours. Minimum central pressure at 30/12:00 UTC is 1000 hPa.

Infrared imagery shows the low-level circulation center is obscured by upper-level cloud cover and flaring convection. Microwave imagery shows that the convection is confined to the western edge of the system.

Nongfa made landfall shortly after 06:00 UTC and has rapidly deteriorated over the mountainous terrain in Vietnam and Laos. Nongfa is forecast to continue to weaken, with dissipation forecast to occur before 12 hours.

Some models do track the remnant vorticity of Nongfa into the Bay of Bengal, but a very low chance of any significant development is expected due to the amount of time over land.

This is the final warning on this system by JTWC. The system will be closely monitored for signs of regeneration.
